Child Privacy Notice

Writing Tutor is for children to use through an account owned and managed by an adult parent or legal guardian. Children must not register independently. Child-profile and writing features require the parent to receive this notice and complete the applicable adult-verification and child-specific consent process before use.

• Profile details entered by the parent, such as first name or nickname, age, grade band, and writing level.
• Assignment topics, requirements, ideas, outlines, drafts, revisions, final essays, and report history.
• AI Coach questions, relevant writing context, generated guidance, and AI usage records.
• Scores, strengths, areas for improvement, progress summaries, and project activity.

Writing Tutor does not need a child's direct email address, phone number, precise location, school name, government identifier, or independent password. Parents and children should not place those details inside writing or AI prompts unless an assignment truly requires them.

• Save the child's staged writing work and allow the family to continue later.
• Generate requested writing guidance, revision suggestions, scores, and reports.
• Show the parent progress, usage limits, strengths, and next practice goals.
• Protect the service, prevent misuse, and investigate technical problems.

Child profile and writing data is stored through Vercel and Neon infrastructure. When the child or parent explicitly requests AI help or finishes work that requires a report, the limited writing context needed for that request is sent through OpenRouter to the GLM 5.2 model using a selected processing endpoint currently supplied by Z.ai or Novita. Cloudflare protects the service and stores parent account avatars; Resend sends parent account emails. Waffo processes parent subscription information as Merchant of Record, not child essays or child profiles.

Kids Web Services (KWS) conducts the parent or adult-verification process. KWS may collect verification information directly from the parent according to the method available in the parent's country. Writing Tutor stores the verification outcome, method, reference, location, and relevant timestamps, but does not receive or store full identity-document images, complete card numbers, or government-identification numbers used by KWS for verification.

Writing Tutor does not currently use behavioral advertising, sell child personal information, publish child writing publicly, or let children communicate with unknown users. We will seek renewed parent permission before materially expanding child-data collection or disclosure where required.

Accepting general Terms is not represented as consent for a child. Writing Tutor records a separate consent state and event history for each child profile after the account holder completes the configured adult-verification step, confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian, reads this notice, and explicitly accepts the described processing. A new child requires its own consent, and a materially changed notice may require renewed consent.

Parents can review and withdraw the child-specific consent recorded in their account. Parents may also:

• Review the child profile and writing information associated with their account.
• Correct information and request a portable copy where applicable.
• Delete child information, subject to narrowly defined legal or security retention exceptions.
• Withdraw consent and stop future collection or AI processing.

Withdrawal stops eligibility for future child-data processing, but it does not itself delete existing records. Deletion requires the separate authenticated deletion workflow so the account holder can review the scope and give final confirmation.

Your parent manages this account. Writing Tutor saves what you write so you can keep working and see feedback. AI may read the part of your writing needed to answer a question, but AI can make mistakes. Do not type private details such as your address, phone number, passwords, or another person's secrets. Ask your parent if you are unsure.
